About the function
As a Food Packaging Operator, you play a vital role in the production process of premium bakery products. You'll collaborate with your colleagues on the packaging line and ensure that all products are safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards packed. You'll lead the team of packaging staff and work closely with the Shift Supervisor and Line Operator. On a typical day, you’ll start by checking the packaging line and required materials. You’ll operate and set up various machines, including packaging machines, checkweighers, labeling machines, and case sealers. You’ll identify and quickly resolve any operational malfunctions and ensure all HACCP and occupational safety regulations are followed. In addition to keeping the line running, you’ll oversee workflow and motivate the team. What we need
- Minimum MBO working and thinking level, preferably a degree in food operations or similar
- 1 to 5 years of experience as an operator or similar position in the food sector
- Technical insight and a solution-oriented mindset
- Good command of Dutch, English is a plus
- Experience operating packaging machines and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and quality control
- Willingness to work in shifts
- Team player with a sense of responsibility and strong communication skills
