About the function
The order picker plays a crucial role in the delivery of goods and is responsible for ensuring that the correct items are delivered by couriers and delivery drivers. The work is mainly physical with little to no administrative tasks. Key duties and responsibilities of an order picker include:
- Unpacking and/or sorting incoming goods and packages
- Collecting and packing orders
- Checking orders for quality and quantity
- Reporting any errors or delays
- Keeping the warehouse organized
- Taking inventory and replenishing stock if needed
- Creating address labels and filling out import/export documents
